Boosting and coaching are the two ways to spend money on your League of Legends rank — and they solve completely different problems. Buy the wrong one and you’ll be disappointed; buy the right one and it’s some of the best value in the game. Here’s how to tell which fits you.
What boosting gives you
Boosting buys a result. A Challenger pro raises your rank for you — fast, guaranteed, with no games you have to play (solo) or alongside you (duo). It’s ideal when you want the rank itself: a seasonal reward, a placement push, or simply to play your games at a level that’s fun. What it doesn’t do is make you a better player on its own.
What coaching gives you
Coaching buys skill. A one-on-one session with a Challenger coach — VOD review, live analysis and a personalised plan — fixes the specific habits holding you back, so you climb on your own and stay there. It’s slower than a boost and it asks effort of you, but the rank you reach is genuinely yours and it compounds every season.
How to choose
Ask yourself one question: do you want the rank, or the ability to earn the rank? If you need a result now and don’t mind that it’s delivered for you, boost. If you want to improve and own your climb, coach. If you want both — a result now and the skill to hold it — combine them: a small boost to escape a wall, plus a few coaching hours so you don’t slide back.
The best value for most players
For players who actually enjoy League and plan to keep playing, duo-queue boosting is the sweet spot — a pro carries the games while you play and absorb their decisions in real time, so you get a result and improvement in one. For a hard, specific weakness, nothing beats a focused coaching block. Pick the one that matches your goal and configure it on our LoL boosting and coaching pages.
